Our latest creation is an ocean-going catamaran that combines performance and comfort with an ongoing quest for rationality and simplified maintenance. The special technical feature of this ocean-going catamaran is its hybrid engine. In fact, the INSULA only has a thermal propulsion engine forward of the keel to allow the propeller to be protected by it. This engine ensures the performance aspect of navigation with its position close to the centre of gravity, a protected shaft line and limited pitching moments. A “manoeuvring” electric motor will carry out its functions on the other side, when arriving in port and at anchor. This solution allows our catamaran to sail in areas and anchorages where combustion engines are prohibited.
The interior layout of our INSULA 52′ is available in 3-cabin and 4-cabin versions.
