The concept of the Onarius is to break the brutal interface between exterior cockpit and interior cocoon.
Similarly to the ergonomics of catamarans, the cockpit becomes a continuity of the interior volumes.
On the Onarius, we have reversed the cockpit and superstructure to permit an exceptional visibility from the helm towards the front part of the boat and to simplify the interior/exterior linkage.

The Onarius52′ has been designed to offer a completely new ergonomic concept, a new way of circulating within a sailing boat, inspired by the caravels of pastyears.
The first Onarius52 unit is currently under amateur construction in France. The boat has been made in aluminium. The yacht is equipped with a centreboard and is intended to be used mainly in Polynesian waters.
The boat aft superstructure housing integrate the saloon, the galley and the chart table, but also the owner’s cabin and its shower room.
The forward area has two double cabins and a washroom. The forward area is separated to the rear superstructure housing by a generous cockpit.
The cockpit can be protected by an awning covering it and protecting it from the spray.
